The main line has wood ties. I did not see any concrete ties near Leander, but they may exist at other points on the line. </p><p>According to an annoynmous source at Capital Metro, who is in a position to know, the most realistic start date for the rail service is late in the fourth quarter or early in the first quarter of 2009. </p>
