I do not think the reason is a tax differential.[/quote] First, regular gasoine is 95 octane in Germany. And second, the price difference between gas and diesel comes from lower diesel taxes. It started with tax reductions for the farming industry. It was extended to trucking and later to all diesel cars to promote CO2 reduction. Regards, Volker
