It is not unservicable so with work it could run again, unlike engines which due to cracked frames, damaged boilers, etc. cannot be made to run again.  It probably won't due, as noted, to the costs of bringing it back to running condition and costs of insurance.  A pity as it is an elegant looking engine with an exciting whistle.

could 1522 run again sinse it could run on the bnsf and last I know it could run but it just needs some borler work and inserinse porblims.amtrak has a program that thay will provide inserins but they have to have cars that are up to amtrak par
