Southern Railway (NO&NE) Ps-3 Pacifics
Posted by dredmann on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 2:10 PM
Many of us are at least passingly familiar with the Southern Railway Ps-4 heavy Pacific steam locomotives, but can anyone point me to any decent source of information on, or pictures of, the Ps-3 class, which I understand was acquired ca. 1914 for Southern Railway's subsidiary between New Orleans and Meridian, MS, the New Orleans & Northeastern? Thanks!

Try this thread -- had only a couple of pictures -- not sure if this is what you're looking for, but the pix were listed under "NO&NE".

Ah yes, I had forgotten about Southern.railfan.net--thanks for reminding me. That had two locos identified as Ps-3's and a third that almost certainly was. Thanks.
