Neat pictures, thanks for sharing! I must say, that steam locomotive is quite the unique sight. Personally, I think it looks like a mix between Arcade & Attica 18 with those raised up running boards, and Wilmington & Western 58 as to how it should have a leading truck but just doesn't have one.

I must say, that steam locomotive is quite the unique sight.

But there are two of them!

This one is an ex-Army wartime engine (built 1944 as #4076) and sold as war surplus...

Well that would explain why I thought those looked vaguely familiar! I love the look of those USATC steamers, namely the S160's.

As a memory from a visit there about forty 40 years ago,

 

One is Classed O-6-o on it's builders plate.

 

 

 

The open Observation Streetcar was built for Montreal Tramways, one of Four,

 

and did NOT carry a Trolley Pole on it's Front in Mtl.

During the War, some were fitted with a ROOF account War Traffic.

 

These Cars lasted into 1957 and were a treat on hot summer's evenings

 

before AC.

 

The streetcars left in 1959 steam followed not long after.

 

All Four observation cars still exist.

Did the "Chariot" ever operate on the Calgary system, or only Montreal- then Calgary Museum?

The Montreal Tramways Observation Car was in Calgary for a time, 

but, I do not know if the current street-running C Train was in operation

 at the same time?

 

Early streetcars in Calgary ended c. 1950 replaced by Trolley Buses

 which in turn  were replaced 1975.
