<p>Just to add a little to the confusion:</p> <p>The Brits use the same denoting as you folks in the Americas</p> <p>The Germans do things completely different than the French and the Brits. A 4-6-2 is a 2´C1´, a Decapod a 1´E, a Mikado a 1´D 1´ a.s.f.</p> <p>The Swiss do it neither the German, nor the French or the British way. A Tenwheeler is a A 3/5, the famous Gotthard Decapod is a C 5/6. The letters stand for speed classes.</p> <p>Confused?</p>
