I believe this has been confirmed as one of the three surviving power units for the 'Gimbels Flyer' trains at the 1939 World's Fair. The other two went to Kennywood and one of those was slated to become a "Thomas" a couple of years ago.
Superstructure was built by Cagney's.

Good stuff seppburgh!
I wonder if the people who own that Vulcan now, whoever they are, know just what they've got?
Interesting how such a miniature amusement park train has such a wide gauge of track. Could it have been standard gauge?
You know, that's a very good question. Next time I'm up that way I'll try and swing by with a tape measure. Won't be right away though.
However, according to this, it's 36" gauge.

But I'll bring a tape measure just to be sure!
Look forward to your update!
