Ok everyone I have a trip to Syracuse NY in 2 weeks where can i see some trains close to there? Thanks in advance.

The ex-New York Central "Water Level Route" which is now owned by CSX runs right through Syracuse. There are suitable vantage points along the line ranging from rural grade crossings (primarily to the east) to the Amtrak station which has a nice, big platform. I can't tell you current traffic density. but this is CSX's main line to the northeast.
