I had something come up that I'm having to move to Alliance, NE. My fiance's dad worked on the RR out there and recomended for me to apply. BNSF was hiring for Track maintenence and Conductor Trainee positions for there so I applied for both. I have the test/ interview next week for the Track maintenence job and the conductor job the following week. Thats where my question comes from. I'm new to the RR but know people who work for UP and they like it. First I was wondering which job is better for type of job/ money/ career advancement, etc. Also by having two interviews is this frowned upon by BNSF or should I just tell them at the first interview that I have another the next week? Also if they do offer you the job how long after the interviews does the training start since right now I live about 4 hours away we weren't planning on moving for about a month. Any comments, suggestions, or criticism would be appreciated. Thank you.
