Is there anyone out there Interested in Helping Me with a Project of Preservation of the old Right-of-Way of the Santa Fe,Prescott & Eastern Railroad, and the Construction, Operation, and Maintence of a New Tourist Railroad to be called the Santa Fe Pacific,Prescott & Eastern Railroad.The Location of this Right-of-Way extends from Mayer,AZ. to Humbolt/Dewey,AZ. over the old Right-of-Way of the SF,P&E Rwy., which was a Subsidiary of the AT&SF RR.It actually extended from Entro(Point of Rocks) 5 miles East of Prescott,AZ. South through Prescott Valley to Dewey(Cherry Creek) to Humbolt(there was a Refinery there for Ore from the Mayer area),and then South again to Mayer, Cordes, Middleton, and up to Crown King,AZ..The line from Mayer South to Crown King was called the Bradshaw Mountain Railroad.The Bradshaw Mountain Railroad also went from Poland Junction(5 miles North of Mayer) to Poland,AZ..I wi***o Construct the Part from Mayer to Humbolt/Dewey,AZ., and later the section from Mayer south to Cleator, and A Terminus at Middleton.I also am planning on a "Railroad Park" 5 miles North of Mayer along AZ. Highway 69 on BLM Land,Application made on 5/20/05.Because of a Water Conservation Study by BLM, and the Army Corps. of Engineers for the Agua Fria Watershed, My Application is being Held-Up Until 2007.This includes the Big Bug Creek as it's Tributary.I am Currently Working with the Mayer Water Company for Future Use of Water on that Land,and the Director of the Mayer Water Co., she is a Fund Raiser(Grant Writer), to help me Raise Funds for the Resturation and Preservation of this Historic Railroad Right-of-Way and Route, and the Rebuilding of Buildings and Infastructure of the Santa Fe Pacific,Prescott & Eastern (Tourist) Railroad.The Railroad Park would have a Railroad/Mining Museum along with an Old-Time Western Town( named Arizona City) as existed in that area in the 1890's and 1900's.The Right-of-Way of the Santa Fe Prescott & Eastern runs through the Property,which is 100 to 125 Acres, bounded by the AZ. Hwy. 69 (on the East side),and the Big Bug Creek(on the West side).On the North are BLM and Federal Forest Lands, and on the South are Private and BLM Lands.At one time the Santa Fe,Prescott & Eastern was Owned by the AT& SF Rwy.I have sent E-mail's and Letters to the BNSF in San Bernadino,CA.(there Public Relations Office there),and have Recieved NO REPLY BACK.I have only to Conclude that the Right-of-Way of the old Santa Fe, Prescott & Eastern Rwy. has Reverted Back to BLM,State,and Federal,and Private Land Owners.For example in 1958 the AT&SF gave back Right-of-Way in Mayer City Limits to Land Owners and Surviving Relatives,and Donated 6 Acres to the Mayer Chamber of Commerce in Mayer,AZ. , and then they Raised Money to Construct the Community Recreation Building in that part of Mayer. I have several Railroaders/Model Railroaders that Live in the Mayer,Poland Jct., Humbolt/Dewey area that think this is a Great Idea.I even had a Lady from the Prescott Valley Historical Society that thought the Idea of a Tourist Railroad would help Tourism in the Tri-Cities Corridor of Cordes Junction,Mayer,Poland Junction,Humbolt/Dewey, and Prescott Valley,Prescott area.
