Just learned that the "Titfield Thunderbolt" is now on DVD, part of a package of old British Ealing Studios comedies, including "Whiskey Galore," "Passport to Pimlico," and "A Run For Your Money." "Titfield Thunderbolt" is about local people taking over and operating a branch line scheduled for abandonment. "Passport to Pimlico" has a little bit of railroading, too, when local authorities in a small district of London start checking all subway travelers for passports and import declarations.

Enjoy!
