The SAM Shortline, operating over the historic Alabama Division of the Seaboard Air Line, from Cordele, Ga. to Plains and Archery, Ga., will begin its fall schedule of excursions on Saturday, Sept. 28 with the Plains Peanut Festival Special. Operations will continue with the SAM's special inaugural trip on Saturday, Oct. 26. Following the 26th, the SAM will be running trips from Cordele each Saturday and several Fridays until the last trip on December 21st. Friday through Monday operations will resume in March.
