Erie Pa passeger departures grew by 26% to 177,037 a year with Newburg NY at # 2. Could be that people in large metro areas are going to smaller airports were the lines are shorter. Amtrak has a line that goes behind the airport. Of course the idea of Amtrak providing feeder service for small citys to airports has been discused Ad- Nauseum on this forum.
