Watching someone in all black walking around the diamonds .. I do not see a RR vehicle nearby ..
May be waiting for a ride ..
Deggesty rdamon Looks like the local is still fighting with the switch .. Not listening to the dispatch feed, but looked like lively discussion. I just got back from my lunch. Apparently the local people were successful in their fight.

Sorry for the late response to this. They didn't have have problems with the switch, the DS told them to close up behind them becase he needed track 2 to run trains; usually they they leave it open until they finish their work and return which typically takes 15 - 30 minutes. After they finished their work the stopped clear of the switch and a trainman walked to the switch. He waited until two westbounds passed then opened the switch so they could proceed east.
BNSF Crews are back out looking at the switch ... Local went through earlier
EDIT: They did not stick around long ...
Layer of frost makes it look like they installed concrete ties overnight ...
Thank you.Always good to know.Read where the train is parked at nite ..This cam kept me entertained this past summer. alright. Ray
Larry, tree68 AgentKid ...but I am putting visibility at about 2 to 2.5 autoracks past the diamond. Well, that's probably the most unique way to measure visibility I've ever encountered... Larry, that's just one of the ways we used to gauge it on our little bump-at-the-center-of-the-world. The other was was which switches we could see down the hill to. When the Tower A operator couldn't see his own switches outside, it was curtains. At night we'd put lighted fusees on the trailing end of the cars to see if we could track them past a known point. Then we could release the next car in that direction.

Thanks again, Semper, for your tips on getting back to IE-11. The cam is working fine, and I got back a couple of features that were lost with Edge, like double-click to toggle into and out of full screen.

That looks like quite a party at the fire pit now--a fire has been started, and it lokks as though the threee are going to cook a meal.
I hope Rochelle does not have an anti-woodburning ordinance.
Good reception here at the Crossroads of the West.
MrLynnJust tried opening the webcam. I get the miles and the text at the bottom, but just a black screen. Did someone leave the lens cap on? I'm using Safari on an older MacBook Pro, OS 9.5.3. Has been OK, though the refresh arrow stopped working months ago (have to reload). But what's with the black screen? /Mr Lynn
That may be related to the signal break-up I'm seeing this morning. It's OK until I go to full screen but then I see black strips across the image that jump around. Each "strip" only lasts for a fraction of a second but it seems to be continuous. Probably atmospherics.

Has been working fine for me all morning... (Winders 10, IE-11).

It is as foggy as I have ever seen it at 0705 CST.
I'm not sure what Tree or the other meterological types on the forum might think, but I am putting visability at about 2 to 2.5 autoracks past the diamond.

Just watched a BNSF EB with a ditch light out, Where does BNSF do maintenace?
JJohnieray, that was train 156. It originates in Roanoke. Left on time at 8:40 AM EST. Noted it had a private dome car on the rear.
Roanoke Web Cam Saw my first Amtraq at the new station this AM. 1 loco and nine cars. Fit in station good.Is this AM stop the only one.?.Nice looking cam.

looks like a project is going on at the 199 switch used by the BNSF Rochelle local. The local's crew has been having problems using the switch for over a week and an inspection by the track department showed several defects in switch components and two ties. Looks like it's time to fix it.
Thanks, Semper. I was able to get one started, and I'll experiment some more tomorrow. I'm computer-dumb so it'll take some time.
While it isn't directly related to the Rochelle web cam issue, but does highligh browser differences.
When I access CBS TV programming with Chrome - the 1st advertisment displays it's opening scene and the screen freezes.
When I access the same program with Firefox it plays as you would expect. Haven't tried with Edge as I gave up on IE before I switched to W10.
@ Paul;
Yeah they keep hiding it, but it should still be on your system.
On my system there are two IE-11 files, and they have the same "Product Version" and "File Version" value of "11.00.16299.15" but they are different sizes! One is 804KB and the other is 806KB.
You should be able to find one at either (or both) of the following folders on your "C" drive:
C:\Program Files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe
and/or
C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
(Depending on how you have your system configured you might not see the ".exe" on then end of the file name.)
I suppose the difference might be whether it is 16/32-bit or 64-bit. That also might be the cause of some minor differences in how it works for different people.
See if you have one or both and try running them to see how they work for you.
If one seems to work for you, Right-click on the filename and select 'Pin to Taskbar' to get shortcut in the bar at the bottom of the screen, or drag it to the Desktop to Create a shortcut there.
