When you can't run around a car, you shove it to where you can.
WB BNSF had three head end, NS, BNSF, and CSX. Mixed frieght.
Watching them had a question pop up, Do most of these trains go over Marias Pass in Montana?
UP EB on #2, out of Global (I thought cause of it's speed) 7 engines head end.
EB BNSF merchandise on #1 went into emergency going over the diamond. after over an hour. the train was cut just west of the diamonds but the rear portin is still fouling the plant. I've only heard 2 or three fragments of conversation on the scanner feed which has been locked up almost non-stop on other channels with a s%^$ ton of m/w permits and form B's, multiple crossing warnings, absolute blocks on UP due to cab signal failure, etc. Right now someone is at the release box, but not sure if that will do anything with the train fouling the plant.

The UP eastbound flagged east across the diamonds. Now it appears that the BNSF Rochelle local (476), which got delayed getting out of the house track nto begin its scheduled work, just went west across the diamonds on #2, stopping at the end of the first car, dropping off a crew member, before proceeding west. Not sure if he's doing some of the assigned work or is ging to assist the problem train ... update - He's going to tie onto the end of rear portion and pull it clear of the plant (and maybe the road crossing or even the crossover at CP844?)

...Nope, shoving east back across...probably setting out a car(s)

..and finished the set out and has shoved clear east of the plant.
BNSF on #2 getting flagged and stopping at the industrial spur switch ..
Picked up a rider .
Just watched a 9-engine EB UP cross the diamond on #1- sure looked impressive, but some were obviously DIT.

Sound is really diminished, volumn all the way up, barely hear them cross the diamonds, anyone else with this problem?
I've rebooted everything, no change.

Quiet Zone!

Remember, they also replaced the diamonds making them much quieter. Now about the only clicking you hear is on the UP track 2 (closest to the camera) when the train hits the electrical isolation joints at the extreme right side of the camera's view.

Check your volume mixer, sometimes programs can be at a lower level.

No this is diminished from yesterday, where I had to turn the sound down when a train rolled by, today, can barely hear it when it does. Everything else works find. Can the browser turn the sound down???

Can the browser turn the sound down??? Assuming Windows (I am using 10, but this should be similar for previous versions, just the actual icons and wording might be different): Move the mouse to the bottom of the screen on the right side where the task bar icons are (near the time display). Hover the mouse over each icon to see what title will show up in a small text box near the mouse arrow. One of the icons should look something like a speaker, either a schematic symbol with some curved lines from one side representing sound waves, or an oblique drawing of a speak cone. The name that appears should be "Speakers" and a number between 0 and 100 showing how loud they are set to be. RIGHT-Click on that icon and a context menu will appear. The top (usually) item will be "Open Volume Mixer" (or similar). Click on that entry. This will get you a set of 2, 3, 4 or more vertical sliders for setting the percent of volume for the system as a whole (left most slider) and each input to the speakers from the computer. When Internet Explorer is active to play sounds, there will be a slider just for it. Moving the system slider will cause all the sliders to follow it, but you can drag individual sliders down lower than the main one. Maybe yours got set lower?
As it turns out, As of Monday, Internet Explorer Sound is now a separate enity on my sound when I bring up the sound clicking on the volumn icon, I get two columns, one is system sound, the other is Internet Explorer.
The cam sound comes through the computers speakers, even though I have external speakers plugged into the headset socket of the computer.
Have abandoned IE for the cam, and now use Opera where I get the Cam sound normally with my external speakers.
This has been a wekk that wass. ack, it's only Thursday.
Just watched an eastbound BNSF one-unit wonder go through on Track #1 pulling 49 container wells and 22 autoracks.
Strange thing heard this morning on the scanner feed. The BNSF dispatcher is advising trains: "Food is being served in Rochelle, MP 81.4" And twice I heard him suggest that the food "could be hooped up" (one being a high priority Z train). This location is about 1 1/2 to two miles east of the diamonds. Wonder what this is all about?

My guess is some sort of company 'Safety Event'.

Yeah the last time I heard about food being served was the day after an eastbound BNSF train ran a stop signal at the diamonds they had "safety sandwiches" at Savanna
What's with the lens today. Looks like it's covered in polyurethane. Anybody else?
Now it's clear again after a passing UP toward the SW. I doubt someone cleaned the lense.
Nice and windy .. Good day to burn leaves!!
Eastbound UP train - on the near track - booking right along at about 40 MPH. Rock steady over the diamonds.
camera needs the wiper today

The sound is back on with the Explorer Browser, so I watched both browsers and found that the Opera browser cam is a full thirty seconds behind the Explorer cam. you can guess which I opted for.
But wait, crew working on the diamonds, grinding but I don't know if they were weilding or not.
Anyone else see that NS unit on the BNSF EB intermodal that just crossed the diamonds at 1124 CDT? What model was that?
It was as big as any modern AC unit you will see, but it still had a conventional cab. Or was it some kind of NS homebuilt job. An odd looking unit.

So shovel the coal, let this rattler roll.

Could be a GE Dash 9-40C.
NS still has a few of them on the roster.

Thank you, Norm.
The good folks of Rochelle may be a bit angry this afternoon. I put the camera on at about 1635 CDT to see a EB UP train stopped on the far track just short of the west signal bridge. This would put it across the road crossing just beyond the bridge. As Norm's post was coming in, it had just began moving and cleared the diamonds at 1723. It was an intermodal train and he lifted it like he had no technical difficulties.
Hopefully there is no evening rush hour in Rochelle on a Saturday.
