Doggy

Dharmon of all people is solely kidding. He's a good joker, and he only means it to be fun.

It's the intentions of Railfix and CSXengineer that is extremely worrying and to be perfectly honest, scare me.

Railroading is an inherently hazardous job.The weight, the complexity, the shear size of the equipment, all require the utmost attention of all involved in operating trains.Social drinking can be absolutely fine, but when it's time to work,it's time to work. There must be no alcohol or drug(s) in an employee's system which would compromise that employee's ability to work safely.

Please everyone,
Let's not start another forum fire here. This topic is dangerously close to the pattern of some of the flaming in a few of OLD DAD's topics.

Stay calm,
Daniel

Well,

My cut would be that Doggy and CSX got bad blood from thier little tantrums on the Rick gates thread.....Rix, I'm fairly sure doens't care one way or anyother.....he's making an observation based on Doggy's writing style and choice of topics.....

Hey TROLL boy..BaltACD...chill hoss ...big difference between a troll and tossing some sarcasm/satire out there.......

The nice and bad thing about the internet is that you are just screen names and that's it...CSX could be a CSX engineer, he could be a 12 year old kid with a big mouth, heck he could be Doggy's beloved Davison of UP, just screwing with him.....Doggy might be a kid, a drunk an astronaut......who the *&^% knows.....

The only thing that's certain is that y'all are acting like a bunch of kids here..name calling, making accusations with out backing it up, blah, blah blah........

Go ahead flame me.....If you are offended by this then it was directed at you...if you weren't or there's a question in your mind as whether to be offended then it wasn't. I'm done...continue with your games....

Rule G is much too serious a subject, in the context of the railroads, to be joked about...no matter ones viewpoint.

The consequences that can occur to the company are catastrophic in nature.

The consequences that can occur to the employees, both guilty and innocent, are also catastrophic.

Just the sheer physics of mass and momentum that apply to all moving rail equipment dictate that controling these objects requires all of the operators sober attention to do it.

Never too old to have a happy childhood!

Absolutely, I agree 100% with you.

No one should ever joke abut this kind of subeject, Unless your a sadist and love those pictures of people bloodied, in peices fater their train has crashed because they Engineer was drunk or on pot.

But hey, if the new age of jokes is that kind of thing, leave me out of it, because laughing at many peoples misfortunes on a dayily basis is idiotic.

I rememebr when a girl in thsi town wa skilled by a drunk Driver, I don't ever recall making jokes about it, or going to the funeral, and saying "A beer in the stomach is worth 2 girls in the bush!"

That would have been really appropriate, must have missed the oppertunity.

There are things to poke fun at, and things not to.

Now this could be just me, But RULE G is not somehting to To joke about. Period. end of discussion.

And joking about it in a sarcastic, sadistic way makes it even worse.

Hello Doggy, it's me Rixflix, the evil McCarthy communist. Stalin was an intrinsically bad person, Lenin I could probably have had a nice chat with, but friends think I'm a Trotskyite. That McCarthy though, he was the worst of them all. .
Seriously, when you put up the "Do You Support Rule G" topic, I burst out laughing before even opening it. Kinda like asking a suffocating person, "Could I capture your interest by offering you a little air?'
So, after 10 or 15 people sincerely replied to your fatuous question, I couldn't stand it anymore and the devil made me knock in "No No No". I'm rather happy with that effort. Somebody here nailed it when they coined "sarcasm/satire" because it was intended as both. I can' t give everything away, so look 'em up!!! They sort of overlap but mean different things I see some of you grasped the point I was making in "No". People DON'T think that way but they DO act that way, with consequences for us all.
Oh yeah, speaking of sincere, criss-cross my heart. I don't hate or dislike anyone here.
I just like to tweak someone'.s sensibility now and again and toss incendiaries when a situation requires. Doggy, I'm just trying to blow-dry the wet behind your ears, like a caring mare .
Uh-Oh, here it comes again!!!
Dogs, ask your teachers about remedial english or english as a second language. It would be a good summer project. I hope it isn't too late because you have expressed some good stuff in the forums. It would be a shame if you wound up like too many people these days, hard -wired into the internet but going too fast to communicate any kind of subtleties of thought or emotion because they were never taught poor, simple, pen and paper, i.e. reflective, language. I could go into speaking clearly here, but I won't. for now. Before you hit the Submit button, review your post, see if that's the way you want to present yourself and edit!!!
Would you go to meet your girlfriend' s parents with your fly down?
Here's a quick poke::: If you are not 12 years old (my favorite age if I had to be only one forever) and are 22, 38, 57 (mine), or 88 (my dad's) you may be in trouble. My own 27-year old son is a piece of work right now and I guess I'm feeling particularly fatherly this afternoon. Love, Peace, Serenity from Rick
My first paragraph up there was Sarcasm and so was the second language thing!!!!
Let's see now.....Kevin, your tag team tactics never fail to amuse. Don't you know that McMahon and his stable all live convivially in El Rancho Muula-Muula? I hear it looks like like a trailer park from the air.
Hawaii, Florida, California, just outside of Queens? It's hard to tell, but it might be Quebec. Ask your doctor about Viag... oops, I meant Paranoia. In it's early stages it can be cured. In later stages you're most likely a nut case. Congratulations from a member of the Nut Club. Here's a hug and a laugh!!!
CSX, did you know we were briefly (I hope) on a tag team together with the shadowy dharmon vs. Doggy and Kevin? Of course it was just Kevin's World but I felt sorry when you replied to my criticism of your spelling and am sorry now. I do love you as you are. OK? Still, I think your thinking on the Ricky Gates thing is from outer space unless you grew up as a radical Union man. I don't know, but I'm sure we'll talk.
Back to railroading. There's about to be a big rack attack over on the CSX in Ivy City!!!
I am really sore from riding a high horse
which is actually a camel filter.
forever yours
Rick

Lets see if I got this straight.
Those of us old enough, and smart enough to zip it up with out getting our hands wet think rule G is a good thing,
Those here who think rule G is wrong are pretty much wizzing into the wind,
and a few of the folks here didnt think before posting.
Humm, sounds like the last group should take better aim next time....

We all done yet?
Good, then someone pull the handle, and lets get on to some fun stuff...

Dude,

I could give a rats....whether you like Rick Gates, Doggy (Scrappy Doo-hee hee hee), me, Ed, Kevin, Santa Claus or not...my issue is if you gonna say something to be factual...provide some supporting evidence...if it's just your opinion he's a rat...fine. It's your opinion.....we've all got them....I think he's a rat...cool....or ....he is a rat...then prove it....I got nothing against you, as you said I don't know you, you don't know me.....we could be cousins...I could be the president of CSX...

I respect your convictions..I don't have to like how you present them..nor do you have have to like how I do...fair enough?

It's all good.

Darn it Dan,
Now thats not fair...all these posting, and no one called me shadowy...all that wasted work.
Man, you get all the good names!
I've been called a lot of things, but nothing as cool as shadowy....

CSX, I dont dislike you, and you certainly are entitled to your opinion.
But it gets tired after the third time around.

What I was trying to point out is that there is a pissing contest going on over....
well, now that I mention it, what exactly is the contest over?

After all, it sounds like your picking a fight with a kid, or continuing a fight with a kid, over which one of you can write the worst posting, or who can call the other a "better" silly name.

Honestly, dont you have anything better to do than whip it out over something as dumb as "I can call you names if I want too" ?

Doggy, trust me, a wizzing contest only gets everyone wet and smelly.
Do you often pick un-winnable fights?

Geez, dont you get it, no matter how you respond to CSX, hes going to take it wrong?

Both of you need to get out of the sand box for a while, and think of something better to post than sentences that start with "Your a ...."

You both ought to grow up some.

Non shadowy Ed

DOGGY--you're young, develop a thick skin, CSX--you're opinionated--no problem with either. These dadgum commies however. Wait a minute--at least when the commies were around, we knew who we were up against.
