Round trip

    When taking Amtrak north from Van Nuys And you upgrade a ticket.Will they

    upgrade it for one way or can I get a round trip ticket upgrade? from a roomette

I don't know if the on board staff could upgrade your return trip. I suspect you would have to arrange that through the 800#. I have upgaded part of one leg of my annual CZ trip (Salt Lake City to Emeryville) to a roomette after we left SLC. The conductor was asking people boarding if they wanted to splurge another $100.00 and switch so I caught him afterwards and asked if there were any left. Since sleepng car travel is normally well out of my budget it was a great bargain for me-though, of course, it depends on availability.
