The Duluth, Winnipeg and Pacific was a long-time subsidiary of CN. I'm sure it exists on paper somewhere, but lost a bit of autonomy when CN's U.S. lines were put together under the Grand Trunk Corporation (correct name?), and has lost even more of its identity since WC was taken over by CN, making a single-line routing from Chicago to Winnipeg.
Lately, there have been some new box cars and center-partition flat cars, and some secondhand covered hopper cars, bearing DWC reporting marks--before that new DWC equipment hadn't been seen for about thirty years. Reporting marks DWC, originally snifying equipment of the DW&P (a U.S. railroad) that had been built in Canada, is now a reporting mark of the CN.
