Train driver tackles blaze
A TRAIN driver has been commended for his quick thinking and bravery after leaping from his cab to tackle a car fire at Welham Green station.
As Friday's 8.35pm First Capital Connect service from Moorgate pulled into the station, smoke was spotted by passengers in the car park.
Firefighters later confirmed that an unattended Fiat Punto had somehow caught fire.
