Two Killed, others hurt in MBTA Commuter accident
Posted by NellsChoo on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 7:17 AM

Two MBTA workers were killed, others hurt yesterday when an MBTA Commuter train ended up on a track that was having ties replaced.

Some info can be found at http://www.thebostonchannel.com/news/10712484/detail.html

There is an investigation as to why the train was on the wrong track.  Trains had been switched to the adjacent track all day.

The UTU web site has some details. Can any of our forum members comment on what caused procedures to not be followed?
