Wisconsin & Southern Switching Milwaukee
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, December 26, 2006 12:32 PM
I was just reading in another fourm that Wisconsin & Southern may be taking over the Jones Island switching operation from CP and will also interchange with CP at the Muskego yard.  Does anybody have anymore insight on this subject?  Would love to see another company down here in the southern part MilwaukeeBow [bow]

WOW that would be really cool to see a diffrent railroad down on the island. Besides CP and UP. I would be the first to vote for them to make that switch.

This was flying around several other Forums a month or so ago.  It seems that the CP has filed papers to lease most of the trackage in Glendale Yard to the WSOR.  This agreement would include trackage rights to Muskego Yard where the CP and WSOR would then interchange.  Then there was also the "rumor" that WSOR might take over switching some of the CP stuff in Milwaukee.  Haven't heard any more on that one since the original talk started.

Would be nice to WSOR running around Milwaukee.

Well since we won't be seeing any C&NW around town anymore I will settle for Wisconsin & Southern.  Truly I would love seeing their E9's running around town, now that's what I'm talking aboutLaugh [(-D]

There have been rumors for many years about expanded WSOR operations in Milwaukee.  I'll believe it when I see it.My 2 cents [2c]
