Thanks Dan. [;)] <br /> <br />The story I read years ago said the brass monkey was just that -- brass. And due to the difference in contraction and expansion of the different materials (iron and brass) this would cause the cannon balls to become loose from their pyramid on the monkey. But either way it makes for a neat story and interesting reading. [:)] <br /> <br />I sincerely hope someone enjoyed the story and learned a little something from it. [:)]
