Just reported that the train may may been involved in a grade xing accident prior to the derailment, but reports from the scene can not confirm this yet...More details as they become available...Danny

I just finished reading this story, and it did not indicate whether or not anyone had been hurt by the fumes of the pesticide that was leaking from the tanker. If no one was hurt, then that is good. I would not want to place myself anywhere near the site of this derailment.Dead [xx(]

Amtrak is showing a service disruption on the Texas Eagle (Train 21) which goes through Crawford.  I suspect it will be a bus for those passengers continuing to San Antonio and they will turn 21 into 22 at Ft. Worth.

No ammonia was involved. The tankcar was carrying ethanolamine, which has an ammonia like odor.

I'm suprised that George did not blame the accident on Osama Bin Ladin and order the 3rd Armord Div from Fort Hood and the 82 and 101st Airborne to Crawforf,. being so close to his Texas home.

Laugh [(-D]In one of those you survive with superfluous flesh wounds.  The other one gets you  killed and the drunk moron that did it winds up a US Senator (MINUS the man slaughter conviction that any other normal person would have received).

Of if that doesn't work you can always join the KKK with Robert (Brownshirt) Byrd.

You think this is bad? Just wait until inflation kicks in.....

Mr. Kennedy (and I say Mr. with a measure of contempt) made no effort to get Mary Jo Kopeckne (spelling?) out of that car. That drunk s.o.b. instead went home and went to bed. No one knew anything about it until the next morning. And I think that it is unfathomable and unbeliebale that the people of Massachusetts keep re-electing this Bozo!!Ashamed [*^_^*]Banged Head [banghead]

Videomaker----

Yes---sounds like another evidence for the need of grade-seperation.
