Illinois Official Railroad Map

For anyone interested, on the Illinois Department of Transportation’s website I found they have a PDF map showing the current number of railroad tracks being used within the state.

Also, by contacting the IDOT, they will send you a full sized copy of the map which is 24" x 36", nicely printed.
