J,
I was wondering were it was that you worked out of. I really like ns and I'm 15 years old and I want to be a locomotive engineer someday. I live by a ns yard so I go there and take pictures. If you ever want to talk about the railroad email me: jimlammon6@yahoo.com
thanks for your help on answering my questions.

well the age of 19 maybe 18 they will hire you. and if the 60 and 30 goes thru you will have a chance to go to work real soon. as far as where i work im on what use to be the old southern now ns. here is the scoop if you get hired you go to school to learn to be a conductor. then after a year of service and senority lets you then you go to school for engineer. if you dont get thru the program then you no longer work for the railroad. you may work 15 years before you can go and if you dont pass your history. thanks to the utu.
