BN knew that the GEs were nothing but a pile of junk. They are cheaply built and don't last as long as the GM does. Look at how many SD40-2 , SD60 Oakways and all kind of GP units that are still running. How many C30-7 do you still see around? I don't unsterand why the BNSF is still using B23 and B30-7 they are nothing but a steaming pile of crap. BN knew better than to buy anymoe GE and would have continued to buy 70Macs and now the new 70Aces all painted in the Cream and Green.
