I would guess that NJ Transit will probably be getting MP15B's like Amtrak or MP20B's like UP. MPI (which is a Wabtec subsidiary) generally re-uses an existing frame and probably some truck frames but everything else is new. I consider MPI's switchers to be new locomotives rather than rebuilds.
The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul
