RAILROADS GOING TO A ONE CRAFT OPERATING JOB

I believe that the one craft idea sucks. If they want to do that, then everybody should be paid at the highest rate that any of the jobs that they cover bring. I would be happy to get called as a helper if I were getting u-man rate. What is better, having somebody do a job that they specialize in every day, or hit and miss with a guy that is a switchman 90% of the time, and gets called as a hogger the other 10%? As a conductor, I would be more than nervous if my hog only runs occasionally, as opposed to a hog that runs constantly.
