"YO! ADRIIAANNN!" Trainnut484, if i had a running alco for every time i heard that, the world would be a smokey place.
Also, I did have a really neat digital pic of my self, but I don't remember what I named it and it seems to be lost in gigs of train photos.

I'm still recovering from one engineer's putdown of one of my co-workers: "You're as stupid as ____, and as ugly as Shaver!"

I need a good, recent picture.

I kind of wish someone would get one of me like my dad took when I was about 13. At Niagara Falls, Ontario, everyone in the shot was looking over the railing at the falls, except for me...standing, looking up, in the opposite direction, at a train on the CP line.

Sadly, that CP line between the bridge and McLeod Rd has been lifted a few years ago.

The speeder was the replacement of the "pumper car," the thing that the coyote in old cartoons would ride on and get run over by some speeding train. Then somebody that got tired of pumping, bolted an engine on, and the speeder was born. Speeders would go out an inspect track, or haul tools to a worksite. Now pickup trucks with small steel wheel under the bumpers handle those tasks with a little more practicality. Example: the MOW guys can now drive over to the dunkin doughnuts insted of walking.
I am lucky in that my friend happens to own an ex LV speeder, and as soon as I rewire It for him, we're going for a ride.
The Lehigh Valley is my favorite RR because they were ALCO dependent, paint looked good, and the main line went through my Dad's hometown.
