This is verry true SD-45 are very rare i have gotten only a few shots of them in the last few years i did get to climb up in the cab of one that was sitting in a sideing it was on its way to the repair shop and 2 of the broken pistons were sitting on the floor i opened the side acces doors and the block was a mess where it had thrown a rod; this is a problem with the SD-45 it had a 20 cylinder block the crank was too long and all other EMD since have gone back to 16 cylinder arangments, the SD -45 was famous for snapping crankshafts becouse they were so long ;hope this was of some help [:)] glennbob
