i have had the same idea as you. what i want to do is drive from here to Oklahoma city, there catch the train from OKC to dallad/Ft Worth. from there i would get on the sunset lmited to Los Angeles. from there...i just dont know...i was thinking of running up the coast to San Francisco, then getting the train over donner pass (i have always wanted to see that by train). from there i would have to figure out how to get back to either kansas City, or St Louis. where someone can come pick me up and take me back home. <br />the only time i ever got to ride an amtrak was from Los Angeles to San Diego when i was a little kid. i have always wanted to go cross country and see what i can see.
