BNSF Derailment in Fort Madison
Posted by ALCOC415 on Thursday, November 10, 2005 5:39 PM
BNSF had a derailment in Ft. Madison Iowa this morning and my wifes uncle was on the train. We have heard it was a collision but the BNSF website just says it was a derailment. One crew member was airlifted out to Iowa City. I hope to hear more news and will keep everyone informed.

Was a head on according to one of the guys I work with from Ft Mad. Sounds like a shuttle ran a red and got into the road train. I sure hope they are all going to be ok. I have 3 friends that work out of Ft Mad from my class one of them knows the engineer real well if I recall right..
Hope they will be doing ok Keep us posted as I am kinda busy and I am sure my guys will be running like mad the next few days to get all the trains that are being held back.

Yes we are on time but this is yesterdays train

Nothing showing up on the local news sites here yet- I'll monitor them today and post a link when it does.
