...Another FEMA train
Posted by Modelcar on Saturday, October 15, 2005 3:44 PM
....Another load of large travel type trailers {most likely FEMA}, through Muncie again today....east bound on NS Frankfort line into Muncie but I dont' know which way it went from there...They have 3 choices. That's 3 now in several days that I have seen.

Modelcar, they didn't go north on the New Castle District by me. South to Cincinatti is the most logical direction.

Yes, I'd guess you are correct....I just was not in the area to see what direction in Muncie they went....

....Yes, all painted white....and my guess about 30' long. Looked like large travel trailers.

Probably housing for the Gulf area.

Yes, that's what I've been assuming....and yes, those photos of Bret's are showing the very same arrangement as has been going through here {Muncie}, even to the blocking under the trailers.

The trailers are temp housing for the hurricane affected area. Maybe Metra (Chicago) should donate one of their Winnebago's to pull the FEMA trains - an all RV train!
