Man, that would be a sight, a huge beast of a locomotive rushing by at 65mph sounding like a jet-plane.

It was 48 years ago this month that I went out west, first to Salt Lake, then Omaha, as a green trainee engineer for GE to help put the first three 8500 GTEL into service. An interesting time!
