Trains I Wish I Had Ridden

If you had a time machine, which five trains would you most like to go back and ride (say since WW 2). Here's mine in no particular order (and subject to change):

Olympian Hiawatha (Chciago to Seattle)
The Erie Ltd (Chicago to New York)
Shasta Daylight (Oakland to Portland)
The Black Diamond (LV Buffalo to New York)
The Green Mountain (Montreal to New York via Rut-B&M-NYC),

1. Super Chief
2. El Capitan (same route, different expirience)
3. Burlington Route California Zephyr*
4. Great Northern Empire Builder
5. SP Daylights

* WHOOPS guess I forgot that the CZ was operated by multiple railroads.
Long live the BNSF .... AND its paint scheme. SchemerBob

N&W 5 and 6 from Bluefield, W. Va. to Norton, Va. and back.
Southern's "Lonesome Pine Special" from Bristol to Appalachia, Va. and back.
Rio Grande's leg of the CZ.
Any steam-powered Hiawatha between Chicago and the Twin Cities, or even just Chicago to Milwaukee.
Rock Island's Golden State . . .

WOW, there would be too many to even mention but the 20th Century Limited would be one. The Super Chief would be another, and the Great Northern train that stopped in Glacier Park would be another. The Sunset Limited would be on the list as would be trains originating from Chicago to many places.

The Hiawatha and the Sunset Limited would be high on my list. The rest would mostly be branchline mixed trains on long gone but scenic lines like the Virginia Creeper.

Some of the trains on the above wish list are trains I rode. So I have some unusual ones. Of course I did not ride the Olympian Hiawatha, and with my interest in electrification, it should come first, preferebly as the Olympian back in the steam and electric days. Once when passing through Memphis I saw the Rock's Budd RDC at thge station signed up for Little Rock and connections to the west. Never rode that route and wish I had. Never rode the "Gull" from Portland to Halifax. Wish I had ridden the Indiana Railroad and the Cincinnati and Lake Erie and Pacific Electric and Sacramento Northern and London and Port Stanley and Niagra St. Catharins and Toronto. The PGE north of Lillouette. The Florida East Coast to Key West. The Rio Grande Southern and the D&RGW's Marshall Pass line and the Colorado Midland. Texas Electric and Illinois Terminal. Yes, of course, the Green Mountain Limited from Montreal to New York via Rutland, VT. Maine 2-footers, the Sandy River and Rangely Lakes and the Bridgeton and Harrison (saw the right of way and the old ties) The Boston and Worcester interurban and the Eastern Massachusetts at least to Stoneham, but really up to Lynn and Haveral, similarly the New York and Stamford. The Boston Rivere Beach and Lynn, either in its steam days or after electrifcation.

What possible trains (that I DID ride) possible on existing track would I like to see resurrected with all the old time decore and service, even at slightly slower schedules?:

1. The Broadway Limited

2. The California Zephyr

3. The Panama Limited

4. The Shasta Daylight

-Amtrak's Washington section of the National Ltd. from H'burg to Perryville.
-A PRSL Cape May train behind an PRR E6.
-the ICE and X2000 when they were visiting
-any NS 611 excursion

Here's one I wish I remembered!

-North Shore Electroliner (I was only 3!)
