3. BC Rail

Always enjoyed seeing the many BC Rail cars on the Milwaukee Road. Handsome design. Judging by the traffic, MILW must have carried most of BCR's transcontinental business.

1. St. Louis-San Francisco (Frisco)[:D]

2. Rock Island[:)]

3. The Muskogee Company roads (O.K. I know that this is cheating since they ran three different roads, the Midland Valley, the Kansas, Oklahoma, and Gulf, and the Oklahoma City, Ada, and Atoka, but the three roads all operated as one system.)[:D]

4. Texas and Pacific[C):-)]

5. I love Miss Katy. (MK&T)[:I]

If I could add a sixth road, it would be the ATSF. Sadly, all of my favorites are fallen flags. Some other roads that have intrigued me include the Clinchfield, the D&RGW, the Espee, and the NP, also all fallen flags. Among the modern roads:

1. CN (I saw the remains of CN's former Big Shops is Stratford, ON, this summer, while I was on vacation at the Stratford Festival of Canada.)[:D]

2. BNSF (Only because they bought my favorite road, the Frisco)

3. KCS

4. CR and IC (I lived in Iowa City for four years.)[:)]

5. IAIS (Iowa Interstate) (see #4)
