170 Lowrider

I've seen pictures of the Dallas Area Rapid Transit trainset #170, with a special low car in the center. Is this car still on 170, and is it still in regular service?

Do you by chance have any pictures? I checked railpictures.net and had no luck.

Why is the center car low?

Thanks to Chris / CopCarSS for my avatar.

Here's a few pictures of the trainset:

A better picture of the center car:

One of the reasons they made this car lower than the others was for easier access for handicapped passengers. With this car they don't have to be "loaded" onto the train through a ramp on the front of the platform.
