This is actually been known as Heritage 4, since it's pretty different from H3. I think the new logo looks like crap on widecabs, but I really like the way it looks on this unit!

While I'll be , they did do it!!!
Ya know what that logo would look awesome on.........one of the Nextel Cup race cars!!!!
But I doubt BNSF would need all that sponsership, with all the congestion.

What is that, BNSF's 22nd or so paint scheme that is roaming the system now? And to think that there's a thread about why individuals like the UP.

Perhaps its because one has an opportunity to shoot a decent matched consist (or at least a close approximation). The UP has a decent, railroadesque logo, too. Despite my best efforts, I cannot love the wedge.

The more I see of BNSF's crazed attempts at finding their corporate image, the more I come to realize that I'm really starting to miss Cascade Green.

YMMV of course...

I like it! It'll be exciting to get the first shot of one of those locos with the H-4 paint on the point of the QSTDVJ or QDVSTJ (BNSF's Overland Route Trackage Right).

If it's a photochop job, it's a good one. I'd doubt it though, as I've seen the "H4" scheme on a couple other websites, too.

No, it is not a PhotoShop job, the unit was painted by Talgo/LRC in Livingston earlier this month. Here is another shot out there on the internet as well.

BNSF sponsership of NASCAR? Think about it, Based on lineup figures the car woudl not even get to the track until two days after the race at which time it would be held out of the pits account congestion. That would all add up to a successful campaign. Oh, yes, they could not leave the pit until the car was filled to 9550 tons.

Thats why I hate UP.......too much of the same color.BNSF is cool 'cause they have many paint schemes.Look at BNSF 2911,7695 and 8070.......the are all one-of-a-kind paint schemes.

If you read the text on the first page you were warned. You did not have to go beyond there. If I run across another photo that is more family friendly I will replace the link.

Mitchell, I'm sure it's not, over on the railpictures.net forums, I saw about 10 photos that they guy tried to get in of this unit. They wouldn't take anything other than this one! I don't think I guy would photoshop more than 10 photos......

Oh, don't misunderstand, I can take that kind of language as I hear it every day on the street but I don't think a rail forum is the place for it as you never know who may be "listening" in. Enough said.

I would like the logo better if it maybe had a yellow oval behind it, with a key line boarder. That would make it more distinct and give a sort of retro look. But it doesn't look terrible on this unit.

I can't believe they would only take that one shot on the rail pic site though.

Though if you're in a judgmental mood, I have to ask you: does getting a *renob* when I see a hot chick (or a sexy lashup) make me a pervert? Oh ****, I was afraid you were going to say that. Giggedy-giggedy-giggedy!

Wow, and i thought it was about trains. Its a nice site and i hope he doesnt take it down. Although some of the language is questinable, it gives you fair warning and itt doesnt bother me.

I agree it looks great on that loco, however, i still don't like it on the widecabs.

BNSF and NASCAR? Sounds like a attempt to pad the average track speed to me! [:p][:p][:p][:p][:D][:D][:D]

[:D][:D][:D]On top of that, the dispatcher would put it in the pit every lap to let the other "cars" by. And lets not even think what would happen if another NASCAR logo had a "Z" at the front. Forget about it. Not to mention the trainmasters in the crowd ops testing.[:D][:D]

I was selected to win gas for a year, again! Hehe. I have to say I don't like the new schemes of any of the Class 1's, with the exception of UP. I really miss the old BNSF schemes.
