There are currently five of these units on the Providence & Worcester Railroad. Locomotive numbers 3004-3008.

I've spotted some of the P&W "twinkies" in Worcester,MA. I have also read that a subsidiary of the Sierra RR bought a number of the former BN units and has converted them into mobile power plants for use in CA. Apparently they are set up to burn "biodiesel" fuel.

I have heard that UP is still putting some of these units on the auction block, as they come due for maintenance. If you have a BIG backyard, and a BIGGER wallet, you can be the proud owner of one of these cabless wonders. Although I don't know what you'd do with it. I guess they were pretty unique though....
