And to say nothing of ridding the property of coaling towers, water tanks, water treatment plants, ash pits, most of the shops, the armies of men who staffed them, and doubling or tripling the tonnage hauled by one train crew. <br /> <br />The question is not whether steam was scrapped too early: it's whether steam was scrapped too late! <br /> <br />OS
