How about convenience? I can get in my car, go 10 blocks to I-10 and go anywhere I want to go in North America. I can't do that with Amtrak, even though their trains go through here twice a day. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to take the train, but it doesn't go where I want to go. I'd like to take the train to see my brother in Wichita this summer, but it would be a major pain to pull it off.
