QUOTE: Originally posted by mffisher

This is a very depressing thread. A life is lost and it becomes the basis for jokes? I hope that none of you, who find this hilarious, are parents who someday have to face a similar situation. Kids do dumb things, sometimes they get hurt or worse. Yes, I know life is hard, etc. Does this type of comment make it any easier?
Hey, if that was my kid messing in the back of the trains where they risk thier own dumb butts and come home alive... I will be the one to administer a punishment. And the beatings will continue until the trespassings stop. Once they hit 18, they are on own.

I have done some wild things in my day and lucky to get away with it. But truly, people who know that they put themselves at risk of injury or death for activity that is destructive and has little gain then... they deserved to be thinned out of the gene pool.

My feelings lie with those who had to respond to the emergency and to the parents who have to live with the fact that thier lost loved one died for absolutely no reason other than being somewhere where they should not be. Breaking a hole in the fence and getting into the property with alot of cans as reported by the article is pretty wuillful act of stupidity.

What a waste.

And what is really bad.... kids in the future will punch a hole in another fence and squirm into the railroad yard and eventually ANOTHER child will get hit and killed. Maybe we as a society shares some of the blame for not educating kids. I dont know.

I should not have typed anything further in this old thread.. but I have very strong feelings towards the value of life. There are some people who died trying to save others by going into harms way. This I have witnessed with own eyes as I am too cowardly in several instances due to the heat of the fire etc.. to do anything.

Life has value. We all must die someday. It is best to live it all and when it is time, we pass on. But NOT as a teen spraying some garbage on property that is fulled with danger and death. Grafitti can be erased just as easily as that life. Meaningless.
