HOW MANY 1000s of miles?

Anyone out their hav any idea on how many miles an average car- freight or passenger rolls over in its life time.
There are cars dating from the 1960's still out and about on our railroads. Image what they've seen over the years.

I once figured I had about 1.87 million miles to work on the railroad before I could retire. That has since been whittled down to below 700,000 miles. I have not refigured it in a while.
