I was reading old "Railfan and Railroad" at the New York Central Museum in Elkart. The Magazine carried ads for Cigarrets and Male Enhancement programs. So seeing that Trains Magazine has such a affluent readership could they make few more bucks in getting customers like Hotels and soft drinks. Heck some of the Micro-Brews have railroad names and they could advertise in Trains as well.

I have heard that they do but choose to focus on railroad products.
As I understand it, this is a management decision by trains magazine.

This was a good decision. I know that I am not interested in seeing advertisements in Trains Magazine that are not directly related to trains or rairoading.
Yes we call it the Dinky. Why? Well cause it's dinky! Proud to be the official train geek of Princeton University!
