The Heavenly Express...
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, May 5, 2005 5:38 PM
There was once a very sick old man that had spent all of his life working for the railroad.
One night, he peacefully drifted off to sleep for the last time.
The next morning, he found himself sitting on a bench in front of a little depot out in the middle of no where.
In the distance he began to hear a rumbling thunder, and then a whistle blow with the sound of ten thousand trumpets. As he looked up into the sky he saw a light brighter than the sun growing closer.
The rumbling grew louder and the ground began to tremble and shake, and what ever this thing was it was headed in his direction.
As it came in and landed upon the rails, the old man realized that it could only be one thing, the Heavenly Express coming to take him to judgement.
As it pulled into the depot and stopped, the old man stood in amazement at the sight of the great white train all trimmed in gold and silver.
The conductor called for "tickets please" and invited the old man aboard. He replied that he had no ticket, but the conductor smiled and responded-you've always had a ticket on this train and showed him to his seat.
So up and away into the sky the great train went, taking the old man to glory.

This is to my friend Mac, may he rest in eternal peace.
