When will NKP 765 come back to the rails?

Have seen it in operation many times here in Muncie and haven't seen anything about it for some years now....It sure drew a lot of attention when they made runs here with their train on a weekend....Hundreds of onlookers. Lots of pic's for me. Item: Have a pic I took of it when it was still behind a chain link fence {many}, years ago in the Ft. Wayne area and long before it was restored...but so far have not been able to locate it.

As far i know its still in Fort Wayne being restored. it was scheduled to be finished last year but wasnt. Go to www.765.org and read the progress report. Maybe this year. We can hope.

What a treat when I flicked on www.765.org the photos are magnificent, possibly the best photos I have ever seen on the internal (and external too) workings of a real live steam locomotive. This gives a real insight into how these monsters did work and how they look , take a few minutes and look at this wonderful sight, plus what a great project to preserve this great engine.
