How To Post Pictures (for people who need help)

Ok, set up an account at PHOTOBUCKET. Upload your pics. Copy the image url, and then paste it into the post. It will then come up as a pic.

Here are two links that will help you posting pics

and

Chad - what you are seeing is a GIF file. You will also need a place that will allow you to host GIF files.

hope this helps

Thanks Tom, I don't have a place to host files so I guess I don't get a cool train in my post. Where can I find them anyway?

OK... dumb question here for KevArc or anyone else that may have an answer. I have a place to host pictures online, but I still cannot figure out how to insert the image into my forum signature. What do you have to type for the Img tag in order for the Forum software to recognize the link to the GIF (or JPG) file?

Okie doke, we will go through this once... next to the "P" key you will find the "left bracket" and next to that key you will find the "right bracket"

use each corresponding "bracket" key in place of the Parentisis key that I am using to keep the tag from becoming embedded

now remember, where I just used "(" you will want to use" [" instead, and the same goes for where I used ")", you will want to use "]" instead

Whatever you did changed the format of the results. I prefer the normal screen format.

...Tom and others: I'm sure there are folks on here that appreciate the effort to once again inform of the complicated movments it takes to post photos on here. I too am one and say Thanks....Haven't tried it lately since getting disgusted with the process in the past. Again, Thanks.

....Why on this list of posters does the image on the screen becomes so wide one must scroll to read across all of it...?

Because in post #2where I posted the graphic of the long train followed by the word "thanks" ...I used the dotNR (.nr) modifier on the IMG tag, which prohibits the Browser from resizing the window (nr= NO RESIZE)

Compare that to the post I made immediately above yours, where I didn't use that tag modifier, and the very same train is shown as a multicolored tiny line.
Try double clicking on that tiny line, and it will zoom to normal size..

It's really a shame that the "marquee" tag doesn't work at this forum, or I could make the train "run" [8D]
