I went to kirkwood yesteraday, and I am glad I did. I fist off saw UP 5695, a ES44AC. That was in the early part fo the day. To make things better, right before Amtrak Train 303, a Ferrocarril Mexicano SA de CV SD40-2 passed (AKA Ferromex/FXE) That made me exicted, all I need to see now is a Ferrocarril Del Suresta SA Locomotive (AKA Ferrosur) And to top things off to make me one of the few members of the that elusive club, a GE AC4400CW shooting flames 20 feet into the sky. This mainly happens on the NS, but this was a SP Patch unit belching flames. I dont know how good these shoots came out, but I am one VERY happy railfan. a "Hat Trick" of a day, if you know what I mean. This was my best day of railfanning in the past 5 years. Can anybody name there best?

Kirkwood is in Missouri...specifically the St. Louis area. You have all the big four plus KCS, and CN/IC...must be why they call St Louis the western gateway!

How about a cab ride over Tehachappi in the unit behind one of those flame belching GEs, at night. I even got it on video.
