The Yreka Western is Bankrupt!
Posted by Train 284 on Monday, March 21, 2005 7:29 PM
[:(][:(][:(] Yes it is true. For all of us in northern California or have been to or heard about the railroad, it has filed bankruptcy! The fire in the tunnel near Ashland, OR. burnt and is supposed to open in April, but the Goose will not be able to hang on, and it is currently up for sale. Hopefully whoever buys, will keep the railroad running, but we may not know for quite some time.

Sorry for the bad news. Sometime bad news turns into good news. Let us hope this is one of those times. [:(][:(][:(]
