The "great technological breakthroughs" in the barging industries are admittedly rather mundane, but they do follow through on implimenting viable ideas in an expedient fashion, thus if you or anyone has an idea that might benefit them, you are more likely to be benefitted in a reciprocal sense than if you offered a new idea to the railroad industry.
